Michigan Trip

Well, this last week, Matt and I spent the holidays in Michigan. We started the trip out by flying to Detroit and watching the Lions/Cardinals game. It was my first time going to an NFL game. It was fun. Sure makes watching it on t.v. more interesting.

Then we went to Traverse City and stayed at our new house, which I completely love. I’m so happy we bought it.
On a side note I am almost 6 months prego!!

Spent some time with the family for Christmas and flew back. Good times…

My terrible, horrible, very bad 2 days...

Well, it all started on the coldest, windiest Wednesday we’ve had so far. Every morning I always let Tink out to go potty and Lily likes to venture out for good measure. This morning I was running late so I called Tink, and just assumed that Lily was inside. It wasn’t until I got home from work that I realize she wasn’t. So I freaked out, Matt and I look all over of her. The next day I went to the Human Society of Yuma looking for her, but no dice.

In my frustrations, that night I went do Smucker’s Park for a jog/walk. I had just locked the doors and taken two steps away from my car when I suddenly realized I didn’t have me keys. Thinking I’m the stupidest person ever, I booked it to the old mandarin cinemas where our church is now located hoping that Matt was still practicing and he was. So I call my Grandparents and they miraculously had an extra key to my car.

Then two days later, Friday, Matt went looking for Lily again. I had already given up hope and cried my eyes out countless time…after it all it was my fault she got locked out…BUT he found her all curled up in the pool area. She had been ruffed up by another cat, and had some cuts around one eye and missing facial hair, but she is ok.
Now, she is super needy, and out of guilt I give her whatever she wants…even if that is a back rub in the middle of the night…

What’s BIGGER than a bat cave?

So the other day I was listening to the morning radio station. They were talking about ridiculously rich NBA stars and what they do with all their money. One of them is building a bat cave under his house. Literally, he will be drive is car out from underneath a mountain, which his actually house is built on. I thought that sounded pretty crazy, then one of the radio personal was like this idea is way better to give as a gift to your wife if you had cheated on her, unlike another NBA star, who gave is wife a ridiculously gigantic purple diamond ring. So that got me thinking…if your “significant NBA” other were to cheat on you and he gave you a bat cave, what would be a bigger gift if heaven forbid he were to do it again?

p.s. I think a bat cave is way cooler that a purple diamond and purple is my favorite color…

Summer Thinking...

My life…
I feel like I’m consistently reassessing trying to figure out why I’m always discontent with something. Last week Matthew and I found an awesome house, and put a bid on it. Unfortunately, six other people had the same idea. Needless to say, I think, I made the executive discussion to hold off on buying a house to save for a bigger down payment. So I guess I’m a little depressed that I have to stay in the town house a little longer. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great place; just every time I come home I’m expecting to find that someone has broken into my house, which is a terrible feeling. It just sucks because I’ve always been a planner, and my life is so unplanned right now, and I’ve given up hope. I’m not really happy with anything I’m doing career wise. I know I’m doing too much and it’s affecting my attitude on all of it. Hopefully I can take the right steps to alleviate this problem.

To those who are reading this and thinking, I’m completing losing it…I’m not…just venting…

Closing notes...

So, I read the book, “My Sister’s Keeper” and it was awesome. It took me longer to read than most books because it’s a little bit of a downer and the mother pissed me off; I needed a break. Unfortunately, the movie sucked. I know that movies are never as good as the books, but is that because the directors don’t even follow the story line? I will admit the ending for the book was a little lame and crammed together, but really? Next time let’s not omit characters and story plots…

Don't Upset the Rhythm...

So I have an obsession...finding songs that I hear on the New York and Company cd and jamming out to them…at home...There are lots of fun songs and I’m consistently google-ing phrases to find out who sings them…Well, I finally figured out that two of my favorite songs are sung by the same band…So I’m thinking sweet I’ll buy the songs on itunes…only to find that itunes doesn’t have them…they have the songs, but not by the band I want…boo itunes…boo…

On another irritating note, I go to my profile page on myspace to listen to the music I have posted, but lately myspace skips the songs…it’s really making me mad…boo myspace...boo...

Fun run…not so much…

So yesterday I was going to go running around the mall…one of those fun runs where you wear a shirt from a previous run and get to know more runners in Yuma…Well, in my hurry to get dressed in the dark I left the bottom drawer of my dress, which use to be my great grandmother’s (also made out of solid wood) open. I forgot something in my bed room and I was moving kind of fast and well, sort of soccer kick the dresser drawer. I might I said a few bad words and then sat on the toilet holding my head thinking, “I’m such an idiot.” After the pain subsided I got up to finish getting ready when I felt something trickling down my leg…that’s when I discovered I had a big gash in my leg. Needless to say I didn’t go running (sorry Brit).

Well, it's been a while since I've blogged...maybe since last year...hahaha...so much has been going on! I haven't had the time to type. I'm teaching first grade and I LOVE it...I'm still working at New York and Company...love the clothes...and I'm still a dancing queen...got to keep my lovely lady lumps in check...between three jobs, a husband, and friends I pretty much don't have time of anything else. In my last blog I said that things were changing, and they have I think for the better. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my life.
