This weekend turned out really good! I know it was chaotic up until the actually trip, but I’m so glad I went. Here are my results…
Finish time:"2:53:08"
Distance
HALF MAR
Overall Place
7635 / 10849
Gender Place
4031 / 6407
Division Place
445 / 639
Age Grade-38%
5K-35:56
10K-1:14:55
15K-1:56:33
I’m super pleased. I was shooting for 3 hours, but I’ll settle for 2:53!
Ummm…some important events that happed, I lostBrittany right away around the first mile. People kept stopping to take pictures of Disneyland, which was really aggravating because you never knew who was going to be stopping right in front of you. At mile 6 I tried some Gatorade, bad choice. I kept tasting lime Gatorade for the next couple of miles.

As far as the body holding together it went in waves. My left knee and hip flexor hurt, then the pain transferred to my hamstrings- feeling like they were being shredded, and finally just my lower back, hips, and entire pelvic region just plain ached. After I crossed the finish line, I kept walking and the whole time I kept thinking…Why am I still moving? Luckily, I finished minutes after Brittany and we ate breakfast together.
I got this super cool bling/metal. It says, “Happiest race on earth.” I believe it. I’m totally hooked and can’t wait until my next one!
