In Limbo...

It’s hard for me to get excited about people and the things going on in their life. I have been waiting for my freakin college graduation since FOREVER. I’m so busy; I hardly see my friends any more. Matt and I have kinda skipped out on church, which I think I’m ok with, but it’s just out of our routine, so it’s hard for me to adjust. I think, my whole social life is shifting more to younger people who I dance with. Don’t get me wrong I love those peeps, it’s just weird seeing the people I’m “growing” out of. It’s different when you have different priorities than your friends. Because it usually means you no longer have that common ground so you eventually drift apart. Sad… But I must move on…

A New Addition...

Well, two Tuesdays ago we added a new member to our family…a kitten. She was a little under the weather, but the vet put her on meds and now she is literally jumping off the walls (we have a squirt gun for that). Her name is Lily, short for Tiger Lily (we are staying with the Peter Pan theme). She is about four months old. Tink and Lily started off a little rocky, but now they play together and they are almost snuggling together-baby steps for Tink. Lily is potty trained too! I take her outside and she does her business and then comes back into the house. The other day I thought she ran away, but really she was sleeping in the cupboards. Ummm What else about her? We weren’t sure what sex she was so we called her Kitty for the first week. When we went to the vet the tech felt her up and was unsure. When the vet looked at her she blew on her bum and was like it’s a girl. It was a pretty funny sight…

Top Ten Childhood Memories...

Well, a couple of family members decided to start this topic and hopefully I can do my part in continuing it…
*They aren’t numbered in order of importance, just in the order they popped into my head.

1. Dance class… “I’m sorry Mrs. Linda. We love you Mrs. Linda.”
2. Gina Badone taking me home like everyday from dance before I was of age to do it myself.
3. Playing in Bard with my cousin Joan. We would make all kinds of “food” from flowers, hind from my sister, and make chocolate ice cream.
4. My sister…was pretty much a riot back in the days. We would spin her on her stomach on a swing until she got sick (to name one instant).
5. In kindergarten, my teacher called on me to write an answer on the chalkboard, and I did it with a pencil. Makes me laugh still to this day.
6. Girl Scouts- cookies and camping over at Mrs. B’s house.
7. Having weekend sleepovers with Melissa.
8. Singing every song on the radio and on the piano with Liz, and having competitions to see who could fill up more of each other’s year book.
9. Deborah…another riot. There was never a dull moment with her!
10. Sour patch kids…and their legacy of murder on the dance floor…Rat Tails!

This was a good one…thanks!

My life in a nut shell...

Well it’s been awhile…sorry Sarah…But I’ve been busy student teaching, dancing, working, and trying to maintain a marriage.

Student teaching is amazing. I’m learning so much. My teacher is fabulous. I also took my very expensive teacher test last weekend. It was tough… I wanted to stab my eye out a couple of times. The important thing is that it is over, and if I fail it-I’ll just take it again in January, because I already have a job- turn in my contract today. So yeah! It feels like a big weight has been lifted off of me. After the next two weeks of fall break, I’ll only have six weeks before I become a “for reals” first grade teacher!!! I’m so excited!!!

Dancing is a blast. I love Myriah and all the JAMS girls. We are getting ready to go to U of A for their jazz showcase. It’s during Halloween, which is always fun. We are also doing the Yuma High invitational in November. We are doing Welcome to the Jungle. I’m looking forward to putting that costume together. Oh yeah I’m starting a two year old class this month…I’m a little scared…

Working is a good time. Who doesn’t like getting paid? We just had awesome sales. I bought a shirt for $3. I’m actually working tonight. When I get off I’m driving to Phoenix to hop on a plane to go to Michigan, where my husband has been for that last week and a half. It’s going to be a busy, but fun weekend.

Until next time…peace…
